εἶδος – (Greek εἶδος eîdos, ‘that to be seen, shape’, cf. the Greek perfect form οἶδα oîda ‘[I have seen]‘ → ‘I know’) denotes shape, form or appearance.
Parmenides AG is the commercial branch of Parmenides Foundation serving the public and private sector. The Parmenides AG has the task of translating the insights gained in basic research into practical application.
Originally, the focus was the support of complex reasoning and decision-making processes in large companies.
Furthermore, Parmenides AG supports organizations at the operational level to professionalize their way of thinking, to visualize and understand challenges in their full complexity and thus to generate sustainable and future-proof solutions together with their customers.
Parmenides AG develops and markets the software-based thinking tools of Parmenides EIDOS owned by the Munich-based Parmenides Foundation.
The Parmenides EIDOS methodology is used by large private companies, especially DAX30 companies in Germany, but also in many other predominantly European and African countries.

Dr Tobias Adam is responsible for the development of new service offerings and the implementation of projects with our customers.
Dr Tobias Adam is responsible for the development of new service offerings and the implementation of projects with our customers. After completing his training as industrial management assistant, he studied commercial information technology at the TU-Darmstadt and earned his doctorate at the Chair of Technology and Innovation Management at the RWTH Aachen. A supplementary specialization in Business Management International at Cornell University and certification as an SAP consultant for business intelligence and project manager complement his profile. Prior to founding Magnify Innovation, he held various management positions in the IT and lighting industries and worked in the USA, APAC and the Middle East. In recent years, Dr Tobias Adam has carried out innovation projects in industries like oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, aviation and manufacturing. As a lecturer at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and teaches Innovation Management as part of the module “Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology Management (EITM)“. Furthermore he teaches as Strategic Corporate Management and Business Intelligence at the FOM Munich.

As an innovation expert, Gisela Zweck facilitates projects and workshops for customers of various industries.
Gisela Zweck is not only a reliable partner of Parmenides AG, she is also the commercial backbone of the company and actively supports the Executive Board in all operational tasks.
As an innovation expert, Gisela Zweck facilitates projects and workshops for customers of various industries. The tasks range from product and service innovation to business model innovation, process innovation and creative problem solving. She also develops concepts for digital transformation, as well as innovation strategies across various industries with her customers.
As founder and managing director of Magnify Innovation, she is also responsible for the commercial and legal affairs of the company. She completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and studied law and business administration. She also holds certificates as project manager and innovation manager.
Before founding Magnify Innovation, she held various management positions at Siemens Business Services and a medium-sized IT company. Gisela Zweck is an experienced project manager with national and international responsibility for IT projects and IT services.
She developed training concepts in innovation management, contract-, claim and risk management and conducted numerous training courses. She was also a member of the certification committee of Siemens for project managers.
In addition, she is a voluntary examiner for commercial and IT professions for the Munich and Upper Bavaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dr. Steve Else, Ph.D., specializes in business transformation, leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience to help myriad organizations for over 25 years plan wholesale change. Working with the C-Suite, he has assessed business models and architecture landscapes through workshops he has designed and conducted. He has used Business Scenarios and Design Thinking extensively in his such work around the world for large, complex organizations in the public and private sector, as well as for non-profits and top notch academic institutions. Formerly a career U.S. Air Force pilot, professor, attache, and high-level staff officer in the Pentagon, he is also the author of both Organization Theory and Transformation of Large, Complex Organizations (2005) and The Customer-Centric Architecture Method: Pathway to High Value Enterprise Architecture (2019), as well as numerous articles related to strategic business planning. He is a highly sought after consultant, mentor, and trainer related to maturing Business-IT Alignment and is expert in numerous planning and modeling tool suites. Dr. Else has also earned his Airline Transport Rating in the Lear Jet. He worked professionally in both French and German in the 1990s in France and Germany, respectively, and still maintains some fluency in both languages, particularly for reading, listening, and conversations. Adrian Taylor runs ForeSight to Strategy for Security and Sustainability IN Governance GmbH, a boutique consultancy firm that helps both public and private sector clients to use foresight methods to formulate robust strategy options. As a consultant he and his colleagues help clients develop their own in-house foresight to strategy capacities as well as well running strategy processes for clients. He has two decades of experience in using the Parmenides Eidos software to enhance to anticipate future changes in the world outside and craft tailor-made strategies. In the course of his work he has had occasion to run projects in over 40 countries of the world, and does so in English, French, Spanish and German. He has previously been a junior officer in the British Army, a lobbyist on EU matters, a scenario planner in a joint venture with Global Business Network, Desk Officer for India at the European Commission and a visiting scholar at Georgia Tech.
His education includes 1st Class Honours Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics Trinity College Oxford, and a Licence Spéciale (Masters) in European Studies with “Grande Distinction” from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Adrian was born and raised in London, England, and has subsequently spent over 30 years living elsewhere, notably Gibraltar, Brussels, Atlanta, Zurich, New York, and Munich. He, his wife and three children currently reside in Hamburg.

Perry has over 25 years of experience in financial services. As head of model review for S&P, the rating agency, he built and ran the global team that validates the quantitative methods supporting commercial ratings.
Perry has over 25 years of experience in financial services. As head of model review for S&P, the rating agency, he built and ran the global team that validates the quantitative methods supporting commercial ratings. Prior to that, he developed and validated models to value nuanced financial contracts at Prudential Insurance. Perry has been at two consulting companies – Moody’s Analytics and Ernst & Young, where he strategized, developed, and led execution on, new service offerings including risk modeling. Perry started his career at the Federal Reserve as a bank examiner for quantitative methods, where he also trained foreign and US examiners, helped write the Basel II guidance on bank capital, and developed and presented monthly economic reports. While pursuing his Ph.D., he taught undergraduate and MBA courses including International Finance, Options & Futures, and Capital Structures.
Perry now works as an independent consultant, offering scenario and strategy development to various industries, specializing in the use of Parmenides Eidos. Other services include model development and review, Risk Management organization, regulatory interface, and valuation.
Perry has a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and an MBA (Finance) and a Ph.D. (International Finance) from Temple University, Philadelphia.

Heinz has led Parmenides Eidos engagements in workshops and on-the-job support of executives across multiple public sector, NGO, development finance, energy and related domains using his deep systemic knowledge of these sectors to assist clients in developing and implementing sustainable solutions over nearly 20 years.
His education includes a 1st Class Master’s Degree in Philosophy (Knowledge Management), Stellenbosch University, a Master of Commerce Degree at Witwatersrand University as well as being a licensed Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Insurance Institute in South Africa. Heinz was born in Düsseldorf, Germany and raised in Windhoek, Namibia before moving to South Africa in 1980. He currently resides in Johannesburg.

She has a broad experience of foresight work, has co-created gaming material for resilience-testing of organisations, and has developed new formats of reports for meetings (e.g. in an e-book and multi-media format). Previously, Petra has held a number of different posts, covering over three and half years of employment, both as expert consultant and intern between and during her studies. 2013 Petra she wasIn parallel to working for 4Sing employed part-time by the World Bank for some months to work on a multi-modal transport project. Moreover, she has previously worked as an intern and short-term consultant with the GIZ in Da Nang, Vietnam (2011-2012) on making the town an “eco-city”. Also, she held a number of posts in Hamburg (2010-11) dealing with stakeholder participation in territorial planning projects, including citizens’ involvement e.g. with Next Hamburg, Urbanista, Luchterhandt, the International Building Exhibition (IBA) and STATTBAU Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.

Ullrich, CEO of Systemic Futures, is a senior “foresight to strategy” consultant and independent researcher with a strong focus on sustainability topics – corporate and public.
Ullrich is a senior consultant and independent researcher, who has his own consulting company, “Systemic Futures”. His focus is on strategic foresight advocating mostly mixed methods approaches from systems’ analysis (qualitative modelling, also as group process), trend analysis and building of qualitative scenarios and strategies. He is especially interested in how to guide group processes to enable the best insights and learnings as well as new ways of thinking for the participants. He is a proficient user of Parmenides EIDOS for nearly 10 years. Eidos is a great tool to support thinking and structure processes. The focus of any consultancy, though, is clear communication and insights for the client.

Ullrich was born in Stuttgart, Germany. After studying Biology in Braunschweig, Germany, he started his professional career as a scientific advisor in the office of a member of the German parliament. Focus had been public relations and press work as well as scientific preparation of MP in Environmental policy and tourism. He changed to the German Environmental Agency as a scientist first in the field of air quality (UN/ECE) and later in the field of sustainability strategies and related environmental indicators. After a project with the German Development Aid organisation (DED) in Lima, Perú, he started with strategic foresight in the German Environment Agency in 2009. In 2017 he founded his own consulting company “Systemic Futures” and is since then an international partner in various consulting and research projects at European and Latin American levels.

He holds a 5-year degree in Biology and has taken various pieces of training in communication (coaching techniques, NLP, trainer skills, negotiations and more).
